Hygienist

Are you worried that you have bad breath? Do you notice that your gums bleed every time you brush your teeth? Are you struggling with sensitive teeth?

Bleeding gums, sensitive teeth and bad breath can all be signs that you have gum disease, which – if left untreated - can be bad for your health. Gum disease is also associated with sore gums, tooth loss, bone loss and can increase your risks of cardiovascular disease, lung infections, and pregnancy complications such as premature labour and low birth weight babies.

Visiting our dental hygienist regularly can help you tackle problems such as gum disease or bad breath and even help you prevent tooth and bone loss. Many of our patients feel that seeing their hygienist is as important as seeing their dentist.

What does a hygienist do?

At Adelphi Dental Care, our dedicated gentle dental hygienist, is passionate about helping you keep your teeth for life! She can show you correct home care that will help you keep your teeth and gums healthy, and also carry out deep clean or high shine polishes and stain removal procedures every three to six months to keep your oral health in top condition.

We think it’s incredibly important to be able to offer you direct access to our hygienist, without the need to first see a dentist. She will give you support and advice that will protect not only your oral health, but your overall general health.

What’s next?

You can now visit our hygienist to have one of our amazing cleans or polishes without first having to see a dentist. Or, when you visit us for a regular dental check-up, we’ll advise you about whether or not you need to see the hygienist

After years of avoiding the dentist, Alex, Shaheen and all the staff have made me feel more confident and relaxed and without fear of having dental work like I had in the past.
